View of San Gimignano was amazing from the terrace and pool. Lovely to have dinner on the terrace. Large clean room and bathroom. Tv had bbc as well as cnn. Lady on reception was great.Very handy to get to San Gimignano in the morning.
A minibar/fridge in the room would have been useful..

The location was good.
We were very disappointed in this place. When we arrived, the person at the reception was very unfriendly. She quickly showed us the way to our room and then immediately went back to the reception. We had no idea when or where we could have breakfast etc. The room itself was ok, but really not more than that, even a bit outdated. The wifi did not reach to the room, and only works 5 meter from the reception, and even then it is not reliable. When I mentioned this at the reception, she made me feel like I was the only one having the problem. But in the evening we were sitting there with 4 other guests trying to use the internet, and all having the same problems. When we wanted to take a shower, the water was ice cold. I already read this negative comment on this site, but when I told the lady at the reception about our problem she just reacted surprised. One our later it was 'fixed'. It was not ice cold any more, but varied between warm and cold. We also had diner in this hotel, I wouldn't recommend it. At first, they don't understand a word English (the old man working at the dining place does his best), but then the food is below average, certainly for Tuscany standards. We had grilled chicken. It was served with raw vegetables that where brown at some places. We did a road trip through Tuscany and the plan was to stay here for 5 nights, but we immediately decided to leave after one night. On our road trip, we stayed in 9 hotels, and this certainly was the worst place. I would never recommend it.

View of San Gimignano to die for.
No hot water evening and morning of our stay. Felt hotel could have offered a good will gesture to compensate, but the only response was more or less 'too bad'! Only minus though - otherwise a real gem.

The staff was welcoming and wonderful. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, but the best thing was that we didn't have to drive back into San Gimignano for dinner. The restaurant was very good and an excellent value. The wines were reasonably priced and recommendations were excellent. The views were spectacular and the pool was inviting and delightful.
It was too far away from San Gimignano to walk and the road was not safe to walk.

The location and the atmosphere of the villa is excellent. The villa itself is beautiful, and the view of San Gimignano's towers from the swimming pool is unbeatable. We also had excellent breakfasts and dinners. I secondi piatti are quite outstanding, unless you are vegetarian. :) Staff are also very friendly and efficient.
Bed wasn't hard enough, we had difficulties sleeping at times.
